MISSION
The Blandford Conservation Commission was established by the Town, in accordance with State statutes, to provide local administration of the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, Endangered Species legislation, and Open Space statutes. The Commission’s responsibilities include the review of Blandford construction and logging projects to determine if environmental permitting is required. The Commission is empowered to hold hearings, set the terms of any required permitting, and may follow-up with enforcement actions if needed. In addition, the Commission is responsible for the stewardship of several pieces of Town-owned property. Also, it is authorized to provide information and advice to other Town Boards, Departments, and the general public regarding conservation and environmental related issues.
